Abstract:
HETG spectra of 4U 1624-490 (a.k.a The Big Dipper) will be used to measure the changes in the continuum, emission, and absorption features during brief low states (dips) relative to the out-of-dip phases. These spectra will help constrain geometric and dynamical models of the disk structure. These grating observations are a segue for upcoming XRISM and NuSTAR observations of the source.
